Emmanuel Abalo, is an exiled Liberian journalist , media and human rights activist. He is the former Acting President of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL). Mr. Abalo presently resides in Pennsylvania, USA and VP for Operations of Africa Radio One.
Volcano Shelton AKA “Dr. Eruptable” Is a professional Liberian broadcast journalist who formerly worked for the Liberia Broadcasting System as a Senior Producer and Coordinator of Power 91.7 fm in West Africa. Mr. Shelton received journalism training at the University of Liberia and through the Minnesota Broadcasters Assoc. in the Twin cities in Minnesota in radio and television broadcasting at KMOJ fm, KARE 11, KEYC TV, KEEZ fm, Minnesota News Network, the Free Press in Mankato, MN and KCNN in North Dakota. He also volunteered at the Public Radio in Atlanta, Georgia. He brings an array of experience in all facets of radio. Dr. Eruptable currently produces “Music by Africans” which is musical in nature but it is mixed with biographical and career information (success, pitfalls, awards, etc) on the artist or group featured. Music by Africans is designed to acquaint listeners with the works of African musicians, particularly listeners here in the Diaspora. The program is aired on both Africa Radio One and New Liberia fm in Philadelphia on Mondays and Fridays 7pm Eastern Time. In addition, the “Thought for Today’ on Africa Radio 1 is narrated by him.
