Welcome
The crowning jewel of the technology revolution was the birth of the Internet. It has removed all borders that once caged radio, television and other forms of telecommunications. Not only were these boundaries eliminated by the Internet, but the Internet liberalized telecommunications in a way that rewarded creativity with a limitless universe. Traditional methods of transmitting communications still exist, but are challenged by imaginative opportunities now available only through Internet proficiency. Consequently, the time-honored protocols of broadcasting are no longer in their original formats but have become a hybrid with profound reliance on Internet technology. More...
Our Vision
Africa TV1 is an Internet based television service founded in Atlanta, Georgia in November 2008. We provide Africanoriented cultural and educational programming to local and worldwide viewers. Our specialized programming is not readily available on traditional mainstream radio and television stations. Our vision is to show and tell insightful and colorful stories about Africa and the Diasporas.
We just don’t broadcast major happening from Africa. We broadcast LIVE local community activities on a regular basic. This include News, Documentaries, Religious Activities, Live Events, Sports, & Entertainments. We envision Africatv1 to have a broadcast studio in all major African cities by 2011.
Our Services
Within just nine months of our inception, Africa TV1 has logged more than 1.3 million hits or viewers worldwide and still growing. Our clients receive scheduled radio or TV programming, a link to access on- demand playback, plus a live chat room that facilitates viewers’ feedback during on-air programming. In Addition, we enable our clients to build a web-based, on-demand library of previously aired programs. For other clients we create a web accessible repository of previously recorded media.. Africa is the world's second-largest and second most-populous continent, after Asia. At about 30.2 million km² (11.7 million sq mi) including adjacent islands, it covers 6% of the Earth's total surface area and 20.4% of the total land area.[2] With a billion people (as of 2009, see table) in 61 territories, it accounts for about 14.72% of the World's human population. The continent is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, both the Suez Canal and the Red Sea along the Sinai Peninsula to the northeast, the Indian Ocean to the southeast, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. Not counting the disputed territory of Western Sahara, there are 53 countries, including Madagascar and various island groups, associated with the continent. MORE
